Since 1992, we’ve been solving real business problems with simple, powerful tools. No fluff. No bloat. Just software that does what it’s supposed to do.
Our Story
BasicSoft started in 1992 with a simple belief: powerful software doesn’t have to be complicated. We’ve spent three decades proving that’s true.
Our breakout product was a safety compliance management tool we built from the ground up. It became one of the most recognized platforms in the industry, used by hundreds of companies to manage their EHS programs.
It was so successful that in 2021 a leader in HR and compliance solutions acquired it. That exit validated years of work, and gave us the chance to start fresh with everything we’d learned.
Now we have EHSpro, the next generation of safety management software. It’s everything the first compliance platform could have been, plus years of customer feedback, modern technology, and a modular design that lets you pay only for what you need.

Kevin Shoemaker
Owner
Kevin, P.E., grew up in Fruitland, Idaho and has owned multiple successful businesses and product lines throughout the years. He’s been deeply involved in food production facility processes and EHS management for decades.
When he’s not building businesses, he enjoys working on cars, spending time at his cabin in McCall, and stealing his grandson from Douglas.
Douglas Shoemaker
Owner
Douglas was raised in Fruitland, spent 11 years in the Boise-Nampa area, and returned home with his own son. He made a name for himself as an accomplished marketer and business coordinator.
He enjoys cars, music, and spending time with his son — when Grandpa hasn’t stolen him, of course.
